Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial musician and singer who blends the soul of gospel and jazz with R&B in her signature blend. She has performed on Broadway and at the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine refers to Denise White. She hails from Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her music career playing piano and singing at church. In Atlanta she went to Spellman College where her musical education began in Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice,"Stalk You A House 12 was released only in Japan. It has been re-mixed several times, and is the mainstay in her live performance. Her voice is also included on the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, she was commissioned as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy- as well as Tony Award winning vocalist who has worked on stage production Dreamgirls at the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, was approached to become the choir leader of the stage production. Sunshine became the focus of attention during four daily performances at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during Obama's inauguration ceremony in 2009.
